Ifthetractionunitcreepsforwardorbackwardwhen
thetractioncontrolisinneutralandtheunitiswarm,
immediatelycompletethefollowingprocedure:
1.Lift/supportthetractionunitsothatbothtracksare
offoftheground.
2.Opentherearaccesscover.
3.Loosenthejamnutsonthetractionrods,underthe
controlpanel(Figure52).

4.Startthetractionunitandsetthethrottletoabout
1/3openposition.
Whenthetractionunitisrunning,youcouldbe
caughtandinjuredinmovingpartsorburned
onhotsurfaces.
Stayawayfrompinchpoints,movingparts,
andhotsurfaceswhenadjustingtherunning
tractionunit.
5.Ifthelefttrackmoves,lengthenorshortentheright
tractionroduntilthetrackstopsmoving.
6.Iftherighttrackmoves,lengthenorshortentheleft
tractionroduntilthetrackstopsmoving.
7.Tightenthejamnuts.
8.Closetherearaccesscover.
9.Stoptheengineandlowerthetractionunittothe
ground.
10.Drivethetractionunitinfullreverse,checkingto
seeiftheunittracksstraight.Ifitdoesnot,note
thedirectionthetractionunitveers.Repeatthe
adjustmentpreviouslydescribedsothatittracks
straightinreverse.

Ifthetractionunitdoesnotdrivestraightwhenyouhold
thetractioncontrolagainstthereferencebar,complete
