orientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromtheliftcylinder
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheLiftCylinder
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromtheliftcylinder,lubricatenew
O-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintotheliftcylinderports;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
Fittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page
5–11).Ensurethatthettingsareorientatedcorrectly.
2.Positiontheliftcylindertotheframewiththebarrelendup.
3.Slidethebolt(item15inFigure92)throughtheliftcylinderandframe
mountingholes.
4.Aligntheliftcylindertotheliftarmmountingholes.Slidethecylinderpin
(item12inFigure92)(withacotterpininstalledontheoneend)through
theliftcylinderandliftarm.
5.Securethecylinderpinwiththecotterpin(item13inFigure92).
6.Removethecapsandplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
7.PutacoatingofcleanhydraulicuidonnewttingO-rings,installtheO-rings,
andconnectthehydraulichosestothettingsontheliftcylinder.Tightenthe
hoseconnections;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHoseandTube(O-Ring
FaceSealFitting)(page5–9).
8.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoir(frontaxle)andadd
correctquantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
9.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–85).
