InstallingtheSteeringControlValve
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthesteeringcontrolvalve,lubricate
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,
andinstallthettingstothesteeringcontrolvalve;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponent
Port)(page5–11).
2.Slidethesteeringcontrolvalveontothesteeringcolumn.Securethesteering
controlvalvetothesteeringcolumnwiththe4socket-headscrews(item
21inFigure94).
3.Removethecapsandplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydrauliclinesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
4.LubricatenewO-ringsandusethelabelsthatyouattachedduringvalve
removaltoconnectthehydrauliclinestothettingsonthesteeringcontrol
valve.Tightentheconnections;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHoseand
Tube(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–9).
5.Positionthetowerpaneltothemachineandsecurethepanelwiththe6
phillips-headscrews.
6.Installtheknobontheendoftheparkingbrakerod.
7.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoir(frontaxle)andadd
correctquantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
8.Afteryoucompletetheassembly,rotatethesteeringwheeltocheckthat
thehydraulichosesandttingsdonotcontactanythingandthatthereare
noleaks.
9.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–85).
