securethepulleytothePTOshaft.Useapuller,removethepulleyfromthe
PTOshaft.Locateandretrievethewoodruffkey.
6.Loosenthesetscrewsthatsecurethefrontandrearangebearinglocking
collarstothePTOshaft.Usetheblindholeineachbearingcollarasa
strikingpoint,unlockthecollarsfromthePTOshaftwithapunchbyrotating
thecollarsclockwiseasviewedwhilefacingforward.
7.SupportthePTOshafttopreventitfromfalling.
8.Removethe2carriagescrews(item6inFigure293)and2angenutsthat
securetherearangebearingtothePTOtensionshaft.
9.Removethe4bolts(item17inFigure293)and4angenutsthatsecurethe
PTObearingbrackettotheframe.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethehydrauliclinesorotherparts
whileremovingthePTOshaftfromthemachine.
10.CarefullylowerthePTOshaftandremovetheshaftfromthemachine.
11.Slidetheangebearings,bearingbracket,andsupportplatefromthePTO
shaft.
12.Ifnecessary,disassemblethefrontangebearing,bearingbracket,and
supportplate(Figure293).
InstallingthePTOShaft
1.Ifseparated,assemblethefrontangebearing,bearingbracket,andsupport
plateasfollows:
A.Securetheangebearingtothesupportplatewiththe2carriagescrews
and2angenuts.
B.Lubricatetherubbermountswithsoapywaterandinstallthemounts
intothesupportplate.Ensurethatthemountsslidecompletelyintothe
supportplate.
C.Securethesupportplatetothebearingbracketwiththe2bolts(item14
inFigure293),4washers,and2locknuts.Ensurethatthewashersare
placedonbothsidesoftherubbermounts.
D.Ensurethatthebearingsupportplateisfullyseatedagainsttheshoulders
oftherubbermountsandalsoparallelwithin3mm(0.12inch)tothe
bearingbracket.
2.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheangebearingbores.Installtheange
bearingsontothePTOshaftwiththelockingcollarsorientatedtowardthe
frontoftheshaft.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethehydrauliclinesorotherparts
whileinstallingthePTOshafttothemachine.
