Why won't my Toro 38066 Snow Blower start?

  To resolve this issue with your Toro Snow Blower, try the following: * Ensure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. * Move the choke to the On position and press the primer three times. * Open the fuel shutoff valve. * Move the throttle to the Fast position. * Check and refill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline (not more than 30 days old). * Connect the spark plug wire. * Inspect the spark plug, adjust the gap if needed, or replace it if damaged. * Clear any restrictions from the fuel cap vent or replace the cap. * Adjust the engine oil level to the Full mark on the dipstick. * Remove the carburetor heater box if the air temperature is above 40°F (4°C).

  If your Toro Snowthrower engine doesn't start, here are several things to check: 1. Ensure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. 2. Replace it if pitted, fouled, or cracked. 8. Remove any restriction from the fuel cap vent or replace the cap. 9. Adjust the oil level in the engine crankcase to the Full mark on the dipstick. 10. If the air temperature is above 40°F (4°C), remove the carburetor heater box.

Shift the snowthrower into a lower gear if you're moving too fast. 3. Reduce the amount of snow you're trying to remove per swath. 4. Avoid trying to remove extremely heavy or wet snow. 5. Stop the engine and clear any blockage in the discharge chute with a stick, waiting for all moving parts to stop. 6. Install and/or adjust the auger/impeller drive belt. 7. Replace the auger/impeller drive belt if it's worn or broken.
