Theblade-controlswitch,representedbyapowertake-off
(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespowertothemower
blades.Thisswitchcontrolspowertoanyattachmentsthat
drawpowerfromtheengine,includingthemowerdeckand
cuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
Important:Donotengagethebladeswhenparkedin
tallgrass.Beltorclutchdamagecanoccur.
1.Releasepressureonthemotion-controlleversand
placethemachineinneutral.
2.MovethethrottletotheFastposition.
Note:Alwaysengagethebladeswiththethrottlein
theFastposition.
3.Pullupontheblade-controlswitchtomoveittothe
Onposition,andengagetheblades(
Figure14).
