1.Ifinstallingnewlters,checkeachlterforshipping
damage.Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Installtheprecleaner(ensureitisoiled)ontotheair
lterelement(
Figure44).
3.Installtheairlterelementontothebase(Figure44).
Ensurethatitisfullyseated.
4.Installtheairlterelementcoverandsecureitwith
theelementcovernut(
Figure44).
5.Installthecoverandsecureitwiththecovernut.
ServicingtheHeavyDutyAir
Cleaner
ServiceInterval:Every250hours—Replacethe
primaryairlter(heavydutyair
cleaner).(moreoftenindustyor
sandyconditions)
Every250hours—Checkthesafety
airlter(heavydutyaircleaner).
Every500hours—Replacethesafety
airlter(heavydutyaircleaner).
Note:Checktheltersmorefrequentlyiftheoperating
conditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
RemovingtheFilters
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedposition,andsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerandpulltheair
cleanercoverofftheaircleanerbody(
Figure45).
