RemovingtheMowerDeck
Beforeservicingorremovingthemowerdeck,lock
outthespring-loadeddeckarms.
WARNING
Deck-lift-armassemblieshavestoredenergy.
Removingthedeckwithoutreleasingthe
storedenergycancauseseriousinjuryor
death.
Donotattempttodisassemblethedeckfrom
thefrontframewithoutlockingoutthestored
energy.
1.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,removethekey,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Removetheheight-adjustmentpinandlower
thedecktotheground.
3.Placetheheight-adjustmentpininthe7.6cm(3
inch)cutting-heightlocation.
Note:Thislocksthedeck-liftarmsinthelowest
positionwhenthedeckisremovedandthe
storedenergyinthedeckspringisreleased.
4.Removethebeltcovers.
5.Liftuptheoorpanandinsertaratchetintothe
squareholeinthedeckidler(Figure100).
6.Rotatethedeckidlerclockwiseandremovethe
mowerbelt(Figure100).
