1.Disengagethepowertakeoff(blade-control
switch(PTO),engagetheparkingbrake,and
turntheignitionkeytotheOFFposition.Remove
thekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especially
theengineandhydraulicsystem.Cleandirtand
chafffromtheoutsideoftheenginecylinder
headnsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachine
withmilddetergentandwater.Donot
pressure-washthemachine.Avoid
excessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthe
controlpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,and
motors.
3.Checkthebrake;refertoBrakeMaintenance
(page59).
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page41).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoLubrication(page
39).
6.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoChangingthe
EngineOil(page44).
7.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingthe

9.Chargethebattery;refertoChargingtheBattery

10.Scrapeanyheavybuildupofgrassanddirt
fromtheundersideofthemower,thenwashthe
mowerwithagardenhose.

switch(PTO)engagedandtheengineathigh
idlefor2to5minutesafterwashing.
11.Checktheconditionoftheblades;referto
ServicingtheCuttingBlades(page69).
12.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.
Repairorreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
13.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paint
isavailablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
14.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.
15.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch
andkeepitoutofreachofchildrenorother
unauthorizedusers.
16.Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
