industyorsandyconditions).
Every300hours—Checktheinnerairlter.
Every600hours—Replacetheinnerairlter.
Note:Checktheltersmorefrequentlyifthe
operatingconditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
RemovingtheFilters
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),move
themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerand
pulltheair-inletcoverofftheair-cleanerbody
(Figure50).
4.Cleantheair-inletscreenandcover.
5.Installtheair-inletcoverandsecureitwiththe
latches(Figure50).

10.Inspecttheprimarylterfordamagebylooking
intothelterwhileshiningabrightlightonthe
outsideofthelter.
Note:Anyholesinthelterappearasbright
spots.Ifthelterisdamaged,discardit.
ServicingthePrimaryFilter
•Iftheprimarylterisdirty,bent,ordamaged,
replaceit.
•Donotcleantheprimarylter.
ServicingtheSafetyFilter
Replacethesafetylter,nevercleanit.
Important:Neverattempttocleanthesafety
lter.Ifthesafetylterisdirty,thentheprimary
lterisdamaged.Replacebothlters.
