Toensureasuperiorqualityofcut,keeptheblades
sharp.Forconvenientsharpeningandreplacement,
keepextrabladesonhand.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutoffthemachineandremovethekey.
3.Raisethemachineoffthegroundsothatyou
canaccessbeneathit.Supportthemachine
usingjackstands.
WARNING
Mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmayfailto
supportthemachineandcauseserious
injury.
Usejackstandswhensupportingthe
machine.
InspectingtheBlades
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure28).
2.Iftheedgesarenotsharporhavenicks,remove
andsharpentheblade;refertoSharpeningthe
Blades(page29).
3.Inspecttheblades,especiallyinthecurvedarea.
4.Ifyounoticeanycracks,wear,oraslotforming
inthisarea,immediatelyinstallanewblade
(Figure28).

thedistancebetweenthecuttingedgeandthe
levelsurfacethemachineison(Figure29).
