clutchesthatcontainabrakeshim.Whentheclutch
brakehasworntothepointwheretheclutchnolonger

beremovedtoextendtheclutchlife.

stop,removethekey,engagetheparkingbrake,
andallowthemachinetocoolcompletely.
2.Usinganaircompressor,blowoutanydebris
fromunderthebrakepoleandaroundthebrake
spacers(Figure69).

A.Loosenbothbrake-mountingbolts1/2to1
fullturnasshowninFigure70.
Note:Donotremovethebrakepolefrom
theeldshell/armature.Thebrakepole
hasworntomatchthearmatureandmust
continuetomatchafteryouremovethe
shimtoensureproperbraketorque.
