RemovingtheMowerDeck
Beforeservicingorremovingthemowerdeck,lock
outthespring-loadeddeckarms.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch(PTO),andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Placetheheight-adjustmentpininthe76mm(3
inches)cutting-heightlocation.
4.Removethebeltcovers.
5.Loosenthemowerdeckidlerandremovethe
mowerbelt;refertoBeltMaintenance(page62).
6.Removetheboltsandnutsfromthefrontofthe
plateunderthefootrest.
7.Removeandretaintheboltsandnutsonboth
sidesofthemachine(Figure107).
8.Slidethedeckouttotherightsideofthe
machine.

1.Removethelocknut,bolt,spring,andspacer
holdingthedeectortothepivotbrackets
(Figure108).
2.Removethedamagedorworngrassdeector
(Figure108).
