thatwhentheendsfall,yourguidebarwillnotbe
pinchedbetweenthem.
Important:Ifthechainsawbindsinthecut,do
notattempttofreeitbyrunningthemotor.Shut
offthesaw,thenuseawedgetopryopenthecut
andreleasethesaw.
Ifyouarecuttingbranchesfromafallentreeorcutting
alogintolengths,supportthelogofftheground
(preferablyonasawbuck).
Ifthelogissupportedonbothends,butnotinthe
middle,theloadisonthecenterofthelog.
Startfromthetopandcutaboutathirdofthe
waythroughthelog(Figure20A).
Makeasecondcutfromtheundersidetomeet
therstcut(Figure20B).Thiskeepsthelog
frompinchingthesaw.
