1.T6:Prechargecontroller
TheeTriFlex3370usesaTEC2401seriesmicrocontrollerasaprecharge
controller(T6)tomanagetheprechargefunction.Prechargeisapreliminary
modewhichlimitstheinrushofcurrentduringthepowerupprocedure.This
current,ifnotlimited,cancauseconsiderablestressordamagetothe48VDC
systemcomponents.Prechargeoccurseachtimethekeyswitchissettothe
ONpositionandlastsforlessthanasecond.Prechargingisimplementedto
increasethelifespanoftheelectroniccomponentsandincreasereliabilityofthe
48VDCsystem.
WhenthekeyswitchissettotheONposition,theT1:primarycontroller
energizesthelogicrelayandpowerissuppliedtotheprechargecontroller
prechargeinput.Theprechargecontrollerthensuppliesacontrolledprecharge
voltagetothereelmotors,liftactuators,andoptional3WDtractionmotorviathe
prechargeoutput.Onceprechargeissuccessful,theT1:primarycontroller
commandstheT6:prechargecontrollerviaaCANmessagetoprovideapathto
groundforthe48VDCmaincontactorcoiltoenergizethemaincontactor(48

Theprechargecontrollercommunicateswiththeothermachinecontrollersona
ControllerAreaNetwork(CAN)bussystem;refertoCANbusCommunications
