Thesteeringmotorismountedtothesteeringgearboxhousingovertherear
wheelcasterfork.Thesteeringmotorhasitsownon-boardcontroller(SC7).
Tooperate,thesteeringmotorrequires48Vlogicpower(suppliedbythelogic
relay),aconnectiontothe48Vpowerbus,andaconnectiontotheCANbusto
sendandreceivecontrolmessages.Thesteeringmotorisconnectedtothe48V
powerbusatalltimesandisnotcontrolledbythemaincontactor.
Thesteeringmotorisnotserviceable,andisbesttestedbyusingtheinformation
providedontheInfoCenterdisplayasdescribedinthefollowingtestprocedure.
RefertoAppendixA(pageA–1)forcircuitwiringinformation.
Note:Ifthesteeringmotor(SC7)isreplacedforanyreason,themachine
softwaremustbeupdated;contactanAuthorizedT oroDistributorforassistance.
Ifthesteeringmotorisreplacedorremovedforanyreason,thesteeringsystem
mustbecalibrated.Calibratethesteeringsystem–centerrst,thencalibratethe
steeringsystem–range;refertoCalibratingtheSteeringSystem–Center(page
5–91)andCalibratingtheSteeringSystem–Range(page5–91).
TestingtheSteeringMotor
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunitsandsetthekey
switchtotheOFFposition.
2.SetthefunctioncontrolswitchtotheNEUTRALposition.
3.SitintheoperatorseatandsetthekeyswitchontheONposition.
4.AccesstheInfoCenterDiagnostics>Steering>Inputsscreen.
