VEHICLE CONTROLS
8. RANGE SELECTOR:
The Range Selector allows the operator to select
a different gear ratio in the transaxle which
changes the maximum possible ground speed.
Multi Pro
®
1200 is not designed to shift while
the vehicle is in motion. By braking to a
complete stop before selecting the new desired
range, ground speed stops the transaxle's inertia.
IMPORTANT: Changing the range while
vehicle is in motion can damage the
transaxle.
Available Ground Speeds:
1
st
range: 0-3.1 mph
2
nd
range: 0-5.0 mph
3
rd
range: 0-11.0 mph
A diagram of the range shift pattern is indicated
below. (For location of Range Selector see FIG.
3, page 21)

Maintenance, page 41.
10. NEUTRAL ACCELERATOR LOCK:
The Neutral Accelerator Lock is designed to allow
a fixed engine speed when the Range Selector is
in the Neutral position. This allows for pump
operation, agitation and hand sprayer operation
while the Multi Pro
®
1200 is stationary. After
starting the vehicle with the Range Selector in the
Neutral position, increase engine speed to
approximately half throttle. Push the Neutral
Accelerator Lock rocker switch forward to the
"SET" position and release pressure to engage
the Throttle Lock. To change Engine Speed, push
the Neutral Accelerator Lock rocker switch
backward to the "OFF" position. Increase to
desired pressure/engine speed. Push the Neutral
Accelerator Lock rocker switch forward to the
"SET" position and release to engage the Throttle
Lock. (See FIG. 3, page 20) For related
maintenance, see Neutral Switch Maintenance,
page 29.
11. STEERING WHEEL:
Turns vehicle. If engine stalls or power assist fails
due to a malfunction, vehicle steering will require
greater effort. (See FIG. 3, page 20)
12. HEADLAMP SWITCH:
Turns Headlamps ON and OFF. (See FIG. 3, page
20) For Electrical Diagram, see Electrical
Maintenance, page 45.

9. SHIFT LIMITER:
The MULTI PRO® 1200 is equipped with an
interlock between the Brake Pedal and the Range
