  If the impeller does not rotate, clean the impeller if there is debris buildup at the impeller. Clean the hopper screen if it is plugged. Repair or replace the impeller motor if it is loose or damaged. Check the electrical connections if an electrical component for the impeller motor system is open. Set the impeller On/Off switch to the ON position and check the position of the knob for the impeller-speed control if the impeller On/Off switch is in the OFF position or the impeller speed control is set too slow. Replace the drive pin if the impeller-drive pin is missing. Replace the bearings in the motor or the motor assembly if the bearings failed in the impeller motor.

  The engine may lose power if the engine load is excessive, so reduce the ground speed of the machine. Clean the foam-filter element or replace the paper-filter element if the air-filter elements are dirty. Add oil into the engine to the proper oil level if the oil level in the engine is low. Clean the cooling fins and the air passages if the cooling fins and the air passages for the engine are plugged with dirt or debris. Clean the vent hole or replace the fuel cap if the vent hole in the fuel cap is plugged. Clean or replace the fuel strainer (bottom of fuel tank) if there is dirt in the fuel strainer.

  If the starter does not rotate the engine, engage the parking brake. Charge the battery if it does not have a full charge. Check the electrical connection(s) for good contact; clean the connector terminals thoroughly with electrical-contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease to the terminals, and connect the connectors. Replace the blown fuse if a fuse is blown. This can occur if the parking brake is not engaged, the battery does not have a full charge, an electrical connection(s) is corroded, loose or faulty, or a fuse is blown.

  An uneven spreader or sprayer pattern can be due to several factors. Clean, repair, or replace the impeller if it is dirty or damaged. Clean the hopper screen if it is plugged. Check to see if the agitator pin for the shaft of the impeller motor is present if material in the hopper is clumped over the gate. Adjust the position of the control cable if the diffuser ramp setting is incorrect. This can occur if the impeller is dirty or damaged, the spreader-pattern control is not adjusted properly, the sprayer nozzles are clogged, the hopper screen is plugged, material in the hopper is clumped over the gate, or the diffuser ramp setting is incorrect.

What should I do if the indicator light above the sprayer switch on my Toro 34225 Paint Sprayer is illuminated or flashing?

  If the indicator light flashes for 2 seconds and then pulses 2 times, check the electrical connections for damage and corrosion and inspect the sprayer pump for blockage and drainage. If the indicator light flashes fast and constant and then pulses 4 times, run engine at high idle with the sprayer function turned off to charge the battery until the flashing indicator light resets; check the condition of the battery; check the electrical harness for loose or damaged connections; check the charging system of the engine for electrical output. If the indicator light flashes fast and then pulses 5 times, check the charging system of the engine for electrical output.
