2.Applyanti-siezecompoundtotheinsideof
thebushingareaoncuttingunitcenterframe
(Figure33).
3.Alignthekeysonangebushingstotheslotsin
theframeandinstallthebushings(Figure33).
4.Installawavewasherontotheadjustershaftand
slidetheadjustershaftintotheangebushings
inthecuttingunitframe(Figure33).
5.Securetheadjustershaftwithaatwasherand
locknut(Figure33).Torquethelocknutto20to
27N∙m(15to20ft-lb).
Note:Thebedbaradjustershafthasleft-hand
threads.

bedbarbolts(nutsonbolts)and6washers.
Note:Anylonwasheristobepositionedon
eachsideofthesideplateboss.
11.Placeasteelwasheroutsideeachofthenylon
washers(Figure33).
Note:T orquebedbarboltsto27to36N∙m(240
to320ft-lb).
12.Tightenthelocknutsuntiltheoutsidesteel
washerstopsrotatingandendplayisremoved
butdonotovertightenordeectthesideplates.
Note:Washersoninsidemayhaveagap
(Figure33).
13.Tightenthenutoneachbedbaradjuster
assemblyuntilthecompressionspringisfully
compressed,thenloosenthenut1/2turn(Figure
33).
