7.Startengineandrunatidlespeed.Checkforanyhydraulicleakagefromtest
connectionsandcorrectbeforeproceedingwithtest.
CAUTION
Cuttingunitreelswillrotatewhenperformingthemotorefciency
test.Keepawayfromcuttingunitsduringtesttopreventpersonal
injuryfromrotatingreelblades.Donotstandinfrontofthemachine.
8.Sitonseatandincreaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed.Engagecutting
units.
9.Whilewatchingpressuregaugeontester,slowlycloseowcontrolvalveon
testeruntilapressureof8,274kPa(1,200psi)isobtained.
10.Afterachieving8,274kPa(1,200psi),placedisconnectedmotorcasedrain
hoseintoagraduatedmeasuringcontainer(e.g.,T oro#TOR4077)and
collecthydraulicuidfor15seconds.After15seconds,removehoseend
fromcontainer.ThenmovethereelengageswitchtoOFF,openthetester
owcontrolvalveandshutofftheengine.
11.Identifyamountofuidcollectedinthegraduatedmeasuringcontainer.

oz)(0.5gallons/minute/1.9L/minute),repairorreplacethetestedreel
motor;refertoServicingtheCuttingReelMotor(Casappa)(page6–205).
ForReelmaster5510and5610seriesmachines,ifowwasgreaterthan
662ml(22.4oz)(0.7gallons/minute/2.6L/minute),repairorreplace
thetestedreelmotor;refertoServicingtheCuttingReelMotor(Casappa)
(page6–205).
Ifowislessthanthelistedspecications,thetestedmotordoesnothave
excessiveleakage.
12.Aftertestingiscompleted,ensurethattheengineisshutoff,thenrelieve
hydraulicsystempressure;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulic
System(page6–8).Disconnecttesterfrommotorandreturnhose.Connect
returnhosetothereelmotor.Removeplugfrommachinebulkheadtting
andconnectcasedrainhosetothetting.
13.Ifnecessary,performreelmotorefciencytestonotherreelmotors.
