Every100hours—Replacetheair-cleaner
paperelement(moreoftenunderextremely
dusty,dirtyconditions).
Thisengineisequippedwithareplaceable,high
densitypaperandfoamair-cleanerelement.Check
theaircleanerdailyorbeforestartingtheengine.
Checkforabuildupofdirtanddebrisaroundthe
air-cleanersystem.Keepthisareaclean.Also,check
forlooseordamagedcomponents.Replaceallbent
ordamagedair-cleanercomponents.
Note:Operatingtheenginewithlooseordamaged
air-cleanercomponentscouldallowunlteredairinto
theengine,causingprematurewearandfailure.
Note:Servicetheaircleanermoreoftenunder
extremelydusty,dirtyconditions.
RemovingtheElements
1.Rotatethelatchesoutward.
2.Removethecovertoaccesstheair-cleaner
elements(Figure33).
