31.Install R.H. axle shaft assembly:
A. Apply silicone sealant onto mating surface of seal
cover.
B. Install axle shaft assembly and secure with four
(4) flange head screws. Torque screws from 18.5 to
22 ft−lb (24.5 to 29.5 N−m).

32.Install L.H. axle shaft assembly:
A. Thoroughly clean mating surface of differential
carrier and side cover.
B. Insert selected shims into housing of side cover.
NOTE: The thickest shim should be installed
against the bearing.
