Using the Guide
Button Operation

You can set programme timers
from the Programme Timers list
(- page 31).
• Select a programme currently being broadcast
and press OK to switch to that programme.
• Select a programme that will be broadcast later
and press OK to open the Edit Timer menu (-
page 31).
• To close the Guide, press GUIDE.
Digital settings – parental control
In order to prevent viewing of unsuitable  lms and
programmes, channels and menus can be locked in
digital mode. These can then only be accessed with
a security code PIN.
Parental PIN Setup
1 From the SETUP menu, press  or  to select
DTV Settings and press OK.

3 Using the number buttons enter a four digit
number.
Once entered you will be prompted to con rm
by entering again.

New PIN:
The PIN number is now set.
If the PIN code has been set, when Auto
Tuning, Quick Setup, Parental Control and
Reset TV are executed, entering the PIN will be
necessary. “0000” is not acceptable.
Parental Control
The Parental Control feature allows you to block
programmes according to their rating levels. If a
PIN has been set, you will need to enter it before
adjusting the level.
When Country is set to Singapore:
1 From the DTV Settings menu, press  or  to
select Parental Control and press OK.
2 Press  or  to select None, G, PG, PG13,
NC16, M18 or R21.
To view blocked programmes, enter the PIN. To
reactivate the Parental Control, turn the TV o
and then on again.
When Country is not set to Singapore:
1 From the DTV Settings menu, press  or  to
select Parental Control and press OK.
2 Press  or  to select None or 4-17 (an age
setting).
To view blocked programmes, enter the PIN. To
reactivate the Parental Control, turn the TV o
and then on again.
