This menu is displayed only when the destination is other than JA.
・ OFF Disabled
・ AUTO DETECT ON Enables automatic determination of Z Mode/D Mode and does not display
the BASIC system mode program screen immediately after.
・ AUTO DETECT ON SET Enables the automatic determination of Z Mode/D Mode and displays the
BASIC system mode program screen immediately after.
・ Z MODE ON Enables Z Mode and does not display the BASIC system mode program
screen immediately after.
・ Z MODE ON SET Enables Z Mode and displays the BASIC system mode program screen
immediately after.
・ D MODE ON Enables D Mode and does not display the BASIC system mode program
screen immediately after.
When EMULATION mode is changed from OFF to other than OFF, the MEDIA LOAD parameter is
automatically set as follows.

This can be changed by setting the MEDIA LOAD parameter again after Z-MODE is enabled.
When AUTO DETECT or AUTO DETECT ON SET is selected, the printer is activated in the Z Mode and D
Mode automatic discrimination mode, and "EMULATION MODE" is displayed on the LCD. When activated
in the automatic discrimination mode, the mode discrimination of Z Mode or D Mode is performed
according to the control character type received first. As a result of the mode determination, if it is
determined that either Z Mode or D Mode is set, mode determination is not performed until the printer
power is reset thereafter.
