Changing the print options default values
Set the default values for print options by displaying the printer properties from the Printers folder in the Windows
Start menu. For example, settings you will not want to change every time you print, such as the paper size setting you
most commonly use, optional device settings, user information settings, etc.

Right-click [Start], then click [Control Panel] > [View devices and printers].
The Printers folder appears.
For Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012, right-click in the lower left of the screen, then click [Control Panel] >
[View devices and printers].
For Windows 7, click [Start] > [Devices and Printers].
For Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008, click [Start] > [Control Panel] > [Hardware and Sound] > [Printers].

Right-click the printer driver of this equipment and select [Printer properties] from the displayed
menu.
For Windows Vista / Windows Server 2008, select the printer driver for this equipment, and then click
[Properties] in the [File] menu.
If the [File] menu is not displayed, press [Alt].
If you cannot change the printer driver properties from the dialog box displayed, follow the steps below.
- For Windows Vista, click [Run as administrator] - [Properties] from the [File] menu.
If the password entry screen is displayed, enter the administrator password.
Click [Continue].
- For Windows 7, some tab menus have a button in the printer driver properties.
To change the properties, click . If the properties cannot be changed, ask your system administrator.
To change a network-installed printer driver, administrator privilege is necessary. Ask your system
administrator for details.
