Using the Built-In Microphone
The easiest way to record is through the computer’s built-in micro-
phone. To do this, follow these steps:
1 Click Start, then point to Programs.
2 Point to Accessories, then point to Multimedia.
3 Click Sound Recorder.
Windows 95 opens the Sound Recorder window.
4 Click the record button.
It’s the red circle at the bottom right of the window.

5 Speak normally into the microphone.
6 When you’ve finished recording, click the stop button.
The Sound Recorder window displays a waveform display of
the new sound file.
7 To hear what you just recorded, click the play button.
8 To save the file, choose Save from the File menu.
