INSPECTION OF IDLE-UP SYSTEM
1. INSPECTION BATTERY VOLTAGE OF IDLE-UP VSV
(a) All accessories switched off.
(b) Using a voltmeter, check that it indicates battery
voltage during cranking and for ten seconds after
starting .
2. INSPECT IDLE-UP VSV
A. Inspect VSV for open circuit
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity bet-
ween the terminals.
Resistance (Cold): 37 - 44 fi
If there is no continuity, replace the VSV.
B.
Inspect VSV for ground
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity bet-
ween each terminal and the body .
If there is continuity, replace the VSV.
