Vehicles with a Multidrive
Stop the vehicle.
Set the parking brake (P. 258), and shift the shift lever to P.
If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
ically when shifting the shift lever to P. (P. 256)
Press the engine switch.
Release the brake pedal and check that “ACCESSORY” on the
multi-information display is off.
Vehicles with a manual transmission
While depressing the clutch pedal, stop the vehicle.
Shift the shift lever to N.
Set the parking brake. (P. 258)
If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
ically when press the engine switch to stop the engine. (P. 257)
Press the engine switch.
Release the clutch pedal and check that “ACCESSORY” on the
multi-information display is off.
