Remove the TSS Cover

Remove the TSS Cover (continued)

TSS Cover positioning

Move TSS cover down towards wiper cowl for access.

Inset cover removal

Detach smaller inset cover around mirror mount.

TSS main cover removal

Slide main cover down and away from the base.

Install the Y-Harness

Disconnect mirror power harness

Disconnect the 10-pin mirror power harness.

Connect Y-harness

Install Y-harness between mirror and vehicle wire harness.

Insulate connectors

Apply foam tape to insulate connectors from rattles.

Route Dashcam Harness through the Headliner

Locate headliner notch

Find the notch in the front edge of the headliner.

Route pigtail through notch

Thread Dash Cam pigtail into headliner via notch.

Feed harness to console area

Guide Dashcam harness to the open Map Light Console.

Connect Dashcam Pigtail

Connect to Y-harness

Connect the Dashcam pigtail to the fitted Y-harness.

Insulate connectors

Apply foam tape to insulate connectors from rattles.

Reinstall the TSS Cover

Reinstall TSS cover

Push cover up towards headliner to engage clips.

Reinstall mirror cover plate

Hook front hooks and push mirror cover to engage clips.

Fitting the Dashcam to Base Plate

Hang Tag Note

Note regarding removal of Hang Tag by end user.

Remove protective film

Remove semi-transparent blue film from camera lens.

Dashcam T-hook features

Observe T-hook shape for locking onto base plate.

Affix Dashcam to window

Slide Dashcam onto T-hooks and engage clip.

Secure Dashcam and Headliner Cover

Hook wire extension cover

Hook Dashcam wire extension cover into headliner edge.

Swing Dashcam unit up

Swing Dashcam unit towards base plate, check alignment.

Push Dashcam unit in

Push Dashcam towards windshield for correct T-hook engagement.

Slide Dashcam down

Slide Dashcam down to engage clip and secure.

Route and Bundle Wire Harness

Protect connectors and holders

Use foam tape to protect connectors and minimize rattles.

Secure Y-harness and fuse holders

Bundle against existing harnesses at map light opening.

Secure Dashcam Pigtail harnesses

Bundle Dashcam pigtails against harnesses, avoid obstruction.

Ensure console connection

Verify console connection is free and not obstructed.

Reinstall Overhead Console

Reconnect harness and test

Reconnect console harness, test lights and controls.

Check console clips

Inspect console clips for condition and presence.

Reinstall console

Insert tabs and rotate console upwards to lock clips.

Reinstall Sun Visor Clips

Insert clip bases

Snap clip bases securely into map light console.

Insert visor clips

Insert and rotate visor clips clockwise to lock.

Reconnect Vehicle Battery

Reconnect negative cable

Reconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable.

Torque specification

Torque negative battery cable to 5.4 N•m (48 in•lbsf).

Positive terminal caution

Caution: Do not touch the positive terminal with any tool.

Owner's Manual

Place Quick Start Guide

Place Owner's Manual/Quick Start Guide in glove box.

Camera Angle Adjustment

Adjustment necessity

Adjust angle if it does not match vehicle intention.

Release locking screws

Use Allen key to turn screws counter-clockwise to loosen.

Adjust camera view angle

Raise or lower camera angle to see two recessed rib lines.

Retighten locking screws

Retighten screws and reconfirm rib lines for camera position.
