Why is my Tractel Tirak X Industrial Equipment motor overheating?
    • J
      Jason BurkeAug 18, 2025
Your Tractel Industrial Equipment motor might be overheating due to several reasons: * The unit may be overloaded, in which case you should check the load and reduce it if necessary. * The voltage may be too high or too low; check the current consumption and compare it with the motor label specifications, also check the current and voltage. * The starting capacitor might still be activated because of a centrifugal switch defect. Check the current at the auxiliary winding in the control box when running the motor. For centrifugal switch repair contact the supplier. * There may be a crooked motor shaft, in which case contact the supplier. * The brake might not be correctly released; inspect the brake.

What to do if my Tractel Tirak X Industrial Equipment motor does not run at all?
    • T
      Tyler RogersAug 20, 2025
If the motor of your Tractel Industrial Equipment does not run, it could be due to: * A power failure. Check the fuses, power cords, connections, and starting capacitor. * Incorrect wiring. Compare the wiring with the wiring diagram. * On a 3-phase motor, it could be stopped by the phase control relay. Check the wiring.

Why is my Tractel Industrial Equipment motor making abnormal noises?
    • B
      Bruce TapiaAug 26, 2025
Abnormal motor noise in your Tractel Industrial Equipment can be caused by: * Electric parts. See causes/remedies above 1. to 5. (noise disappearing immediately, when stopping motor). * Mechanical parts. In this case, contact the supplier.

What to do if my Tractel Tirak X motor does not start with a load?
    • M
      Melissa PollardAug 28, 2025
If the motor of your Tractel Industrial Equipment does not start with a load, the possible causes are: * Overload. Check the load and reduce it if necessary. * The brake is not released. Check the motor with the brake released by hand. Check the brake according to para. 5.1 (2), page 14. * The voltage is too low. Check the voltage when running the motor and use power cord(s) with a higher cross section. * Incorrect wiring. Compare the wiring with the wiring diagram.

What to do if my Tractel Industrial Equipment is overheating when running without load?
    • R
      Ricardo HughesAug 30, 2025
If your Tractel Industrial Equipment is overheating when running without a load, possible causes include: * Insufficient cooling. Clean the motor fan cover. * Incorrect wiring. Compare the wiring with the wiring diagram. * Voltage too high. Check the voltage and no-load current. * Short circuit in the coil. Contact the supplier.

What to do if the wire rope does not move through my Tractel Tirak X Industrial Equipment?
    • G
      Gabrielle AyalaSep 1, 2025
If the wire rope does not move through your Tractel Industrial Equipment, it is likely that damaged wire rope is jamming the hoist. WARNING: STOP OPERATIONS IMMEDIATELY! Continued operation might cause wire rope failure. Contact the supplier.

What to do if the brake does not open on my Tractel Industrial Equipment?
    • R
      Ryan GonzalezSep 4, 2025
If the brake on your Tractel Industrial Equipment does not open, and there is a lack of a “click” switch noise when starting or stopping the hoist, it could be due to: * A defective supply conductor, brake coil, or rectifier. Have the supply conductor, current passage in the brake coil, and rectifier checked by an electrician or qualified person. * A worn brake rotor. Contact the supplier.
