Electrical Requirements for 208/230V and 265V
220088VV//223300VV:: Provisions should be made to have the proper electrical outlet near the case. All
wiring should be made in accordance with local codes and regulations.
226655VV:: Connection of a 265V product to a branch circuit must be done by direct connection to
be in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC™) plugging a 265V unit directly into a
building-mounted exposed receptacle is not permitted by most codes.
The 208/230V line cord accessory installed with the chassis (if used) will extend to a wall
receptacle located within the area shown below.
NNoottee:: The rear protective panel must remain in place until ready to install the chassis.
NNoottee:: Aluminum wiring in the structure may pose special problems and it is recommended to
consult with a qualified electrician.
Wall Sleeve Drain Kit
If it is necessary to install a drain kit, use KIT17867 Internal/External Drain. With an external drain,
which may be connected to a field-supplied drain line, water can be drained away from the unit
and building. To install the Trane drain kit, refer to the latest installation instructions PTAC-
SVN026*-EN.
NNoottee:: It may be required to install the drain kit on the wall sleeve prior to installing the wall
sleeve into the wall.
