Location, Dimensions, and Leveling
General Notes
• Carefully handle the wall sleeve.
• The cardboard stiffener inside the wall sleeve (if present) and the rear protective panel must
remain in place until ready to install the chassis to ensure case rigidity.
• If using a sub-base, it may be better to assemble the sub-base to the wall sleeve before
securing it to the wall.
Wall Sleeve Location
As a general rule, the air conditioner should be located in an outside wall to ensure proper
distribution of conditioned air. Locate it in a portion of the wall where there is no electrical wiring,
plumbing, or obstructions immediately inside or outside.
NNoottee:: The unit generates condensate in some weather conditions so consideration for
management of that water may be important.
