Location, Dimensions, and Leveling
General Notes
Carefully handle the wall sleeve.
The cardboard stiffener inside the wall sleeve (if present) and the rear protective panel must
remain in place until ready to install the chassis to ensure case rigidity.
If using a sub-base, it may be better to assemble the sub-base to the wall sleeve before
securing it to the wall.
Wall Sleeve Location
As a general rule, the air conditioner should be located in an outside wall to ensure proper
distribution of conditioned air. Locate it in a portion of the wall where there is no electrical wiring,
plumbing, or obstructions immediately inside or outside.
NNoottee:: The unit generates condensate in some weather conditions so consideration for
management of that water may be important.
