Unit Lifting Points
Preferred Lifting Method
• The preferred method for lifting an AFDH drive unit to
position it for installation, is to use an identical
individual hoisting device at each lift point.
Alternative Lifting Method
• If it is only possible to use a single hoisting device to lift
an AFDH drive unit to position it for installation, a
spreader bar should be used to allow adjusting the
rigging as necessary to balance the unit around its
center-of-gravity to ensure full control of the unit
during lifting.

1. Factory provided unit lift tabs.
2. AFDH D-Frame Unit front-to-rear center of gravity.
3. Frequency drive module section of the cabinet assembly. Weight
of drive module can result in the unit attempting to lean to the right
as it is lifted if the rigging is not adjusted correctly.
