Why is my Trane TAYSTAT 575 Thermostat not turning on the heat?
    • C
      Craig PhamJul 30, 2025
If the heating isn't working on your Trane Thermostat, there are several things to check. First, ensure the thermostat is getting power by verifying the B terminal connection and checking for 24 Vac between the B and R terminals. Also, check the circuit breaker, system fuse, and HVAC equipment power switch. Inspect the wiring for issues. If power is present, the thermostat's minimum off time might be active, so wait up to five minutes. Make sure the system selection is set to Heat and that the heating setpoint is higher than the room temperature.

Why is the display not working on my Trane TAYSTAT 575?
    • P
      Paul ColeAug 3, 2025
If the display on your Trane Thermostat doesn't turn on, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, ensure that the thermostat is receiving power by checking that the B terminal is connected to the system transformer and verifying 24 Vac between the B and R terminals. If there's no voltage, check the circuit breaker, system fuse, and the power switch on the HVAC equipment. Also, inspect the wiring for any breaks or loose connections. If power is present, the thermostat's microprocessor might be locked up; try removing the thermostat from the wallplate for 2 minutes, then reattaching it.

Why is the temperature reading wrong on my Trane Thermostat?
    • B
      brent36Aug 7, 2025
If the temperature display on your Trane Thermostat is incorrect, it might be due to a reconfiguration of the room temperature display, the thermostat being configured for the wrong temperature scale (°F or °C), or a poor thermostat location. Try entering Installer Setup Number 37 to reconfigure the display, Installer Setup Number 14 to adjust the temperature scale, or relocate the thermostat to a better location.

Trane TAYSTAT 575 Thermostat says 'System On' but there is no heat, why?
    • W
      wattsryanAug 12, 2025
If the System On indicator is lit on your Trane Thermostat but no heat is being delivered, it indicates that the heating equipment itself might not be operating. Verify the operation of the heating equipment in the system test.

    • M
      Mary GarciaAug 16, 2025
If the cooling isn't activating on your Trane Thermostat, start by checking the power supply. Ensure the B terminal is connected and verify 24 Vac between the B, R, and Y terminals. Check the circuit breaker, system fuse, and the HVAC equipment's power switch. Also, inspect the wiring for any loose connections or breaks. If power is present, the thermostat's minimum off time may be active; wait up to five minutes, or reconfigure the minimum off time in Installer Setup mode number 33. Ensure the system selection is set to Cool.

    • E
      Eric KeithAug 20, 2025
If the outdoor temperature display on your Trane Thermostat is incorrect, it could be due to the outdoor sensor being connected incorrectly or using an incorrect sensor. Check the wiring between the thermostat and sensor, referring to the TAYSENS100A installation instructions. If the sensor is incorrect, replace it with a TAYSENS100A Sensor.
