6. Once the drain plug becomes loose, turn it with
ngers.
7. Oil will spout out. Place an oil catching pan properly.
8. Wipe the drain plug clean.
9. After oil is drained off completely, reinstall the drain
plug.
10. Wipe areas around the drain plug clean.
11. Wind cloth around the oil ll port neck to catch spilt
oil.
12. Add oil up to the specied level, leaving a room of
about one liter. Then, gradually add oil, checking the
oil level with the oil level dipstick.
13. Wipe clean areas around the fill port and reinstall
the oil ll port cap securely.
14. Start the engine and run it at idle rpm to prime oil
throughout the engine.
15. Shut down the engine. After a while, check the oil
level using the oil level dipstick. The oil level should
be between the H and L marks on the dipstick. If the
level is low, add oil.

CHANGING ENGINE OIL FILTER
CAUTION
The engine is very hot for a while after the engine
is shut down. Change the engine oil lter after the
engine cools down enough.
Change the engine oil lter in the following manner:
1. Using a lter wrench, loosen the lter cartridge and
remove.
2. Get a new lter cartridge.
3. Wipe clean the cylinder block in the cartridge
mounting area.
4. Apply a thin coat of engine oil on the “O”-ring of the
new lter cartridge.
5. Hand tighten the new filter cartridge. After the “O”-
ring touches the seal surface, use a lter wrench to
tighten the cartridge.
