BOSSES

Measure the piston bosses with a cylinder gauge. Set the cylinder gauge's reference
measurement to 23
mm,
and carry out zero point adjustment with
an
outside micrometer.
2.
If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit, replace. See engine specifications

PISTON
PIN
AND SMALL END BUSHING
1.
Measure the piston pin with
an
outside micrometer.
2.
Measure the
LD.
of connecting
rod
small end bushing with
an
inside micrometer. Calculate the
clearance.
3.
If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace. See engine specifications
