4. Fit the cable glands, and then route the cables carefully up the sides of the
detector assembly as shown in Figure 11 below.
5. Cut the cables to a suitable length.
This should be the shortest possible length that will comfortably allow the
plugs to fit their respective sockets. The cables should be routed so as to
avoid damage when the replacing the display and screw-down cover. See
Figure 11 below.

6. Connect the ribbon cable to the socket designated RS-232 on the detector
assembly PCB.
7. Refit the display using the correct four screws.
