7- Service procedures - Shaft seal assembly
Removal
1. Remove the magnetic clutch assembly as
described on page 29.
2. Remove the bolts securing the connectors, and
then remove the connectors and strainer from
the cylinder shaft assembly.
3. Remove the oil filler plug and then drain the
oil.
4. Remove the seven bolts securing the head
using an hexagon (14 mm) wrench.
5. Alternately tap the two projections on the front
head using a remover and a mallet to remove
the front cylinder head.
6. Remove the snap ring using the internal snap
ring pliers.
7. Remove the shaft seal assembly using a
remover.
