Why does the Vaughan Accessories sensor detect other objects besides studs?
    • M
      Michelle WilliamsAug 3, 2025
The sensor might be detecting electrical cables and pipes positioned close to or making contact with the rear of the scanning area. To mitigate this, try scanning directly above or below the initial scan area. Remember that studs typically maintain equal spacing, set at either 16 or 24 inches (406 or 610 mm).

Why is the Vaughan Accessories battery life so short?
    • R
      ryandanielAug 10, 2025
The battery life may be shorter than expected due to using the incorrect battery type or leaving the sensor on for extended periods. For optimal performance, use a 9V Alkaline battery and remember to turn off the sensor immediately after completing your scanning tasks.
