Overview

This document describes VEVOR Cotton Candy Makers, providing details on their function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

VEVOR Cotton Candy Makers are commercial-grade machines designed for rapid cotton candy production. They are capable of producing a large output, making them suitable for commercial use at carnivals, festivals, birthday parties, and sports events. The machines are versatile, allowing users to make delicious cotton candy from traditional flossing sugars, milk sugars, fruit cubes, or various hard candies.

Key features contributing to their functionality include:

  • Rapid Production: With a 1000W power rating, the machines require only a 2-minute preheat time. The spinning head operates at 3000RPM and can hold 0.5 oz / 15g of sugar at one time, producing up to 120 cotton candies per hour.
  • Temperature Control: Unlike ordinary machines, these models offer precise voltage adjustment for temperature control, enabling experimentation with different sugar flavors.
  • Reliable Construction: The cotton candy makers feature a carbon steel body and a 19.7-inch diameter stainless steel bowl, ensuring resistance to rust and corrosion. High-quality materials make them robust for long-term use and demanding tasks. A locking clip design facilitates easy disassembly of the washing bowl, reducing vibration and noise while enhancing stability during operation.
  • User-Friendly Design: The machines are equipped with a candy box for extra storage (e.g., bamboo sticks). Ventilation holes on both sides ensure efficient heat dissipation, prolonging motor reliability. A non-slip bottom provides stability, and a sugar scoop is included for convenient sugar handling.

Usage Features

The operation of the VEVOR Cotton Candy Makers is designed to be straightforward, with specific steps for optimal performance and safety.

Installation (Cart Type):

  1. Bracket Installation: Use round-head screws (M512 and M535) to install the brackets on both sides of the main body.
  2. Wheel Installation: Install two wheels under the frame using two M8 bolts.
  3. Table and Handle Installation: Attach the table to the left side of the main body and the push handle to the right side using 8 pcs M5*12 screws and 8 pcs washers.
  4. Bowl Placement: Place the stainless steel pan on top of the box and secure it with the 4 locking clips on both sides.
  5. Completion: Once assembly is complete, the machine is ready for use. Store any remaining components for future use or maintenance.

Operating Instructions:

  1. Power On & Warm-up: Press the switch to turn on the machine and wait 1-2 minutes. Ensure the spinning head rotates smoothly without severe vibration; adjust if necessary to ensure stability.
  2. Preheating: Adjust the voltage knob to "Max" and allow the machine to warm up for 2-3 minutes. After preheating, the voltage can be adjusted according to desired temperature.
  3. Sugar Test: Pour half a teaspoon of sugar into the center of the sugar head to test heating and sugar production.
  4. Cotton Candy Production: Once ready, pour a spoonful of clean white sugar into the center of the sugar head. After about 3 seconds, cotton candy will begin to squirt out. Take a bamboo stick, rotate it a few times along the inner wall of the bowl, then place the stick horizontally and rotate it over the spinning head to form cotton candy. Different shapes can be achieved by tilting the stick.
  5. Turn Off: After making enough cotton candy, turn off the machine.

Operation Precautions:

  • Read the manual carefully to understand the machine's structure, function, and safety operations.
  • Before first use, rinse the bowl and spinning head with clean water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  • Install the machine on a supported workbench, keeping it off the ground.
  • Verify that the power supply voltage matches the machine's voltage. Ensure proper contact between the socket and machine, and that safety standards (leakage protection switch, ground wire) are met.
  • Do not put the wire near hot surfaces.
  • Do not immerse machine lugs in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use damaged cords, sockets, or plugs.
  • Ensure the machine is properly installed before plugging it in.
  • Always turn off the switch and unplug the power supply when not in use or before cleaning. Wait for the spinning head to stop rotating and the machine to cool down.
  • Do not touch the rotating spinning head or reach hands into the bowl while the machine is working or sugar is present, to avoid burns.
  • Do not move the machine while it is working.
  • Avoid touching the plug or wire with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
  • The motor has an 80% temporary cut-off rate; avoid long-term continuous operation. After one hour of continuous work, pause for 20 minutes to extend motor life.
  • Always turn off and unplug the machine before cleaning, maintenance, or related work.
  • Do not run the machine without load for extended periods.
  • Do not use cleaning agents during cleaning to prevent accidental ingestion of residues.

Maintenance Features

Proper cleaning and troubleshooting are essential for maintaining the performance and longevity of the VEVOR Cotton Candy Makers.

Cleaning:

  1. Post-Production Cleaning: Clean the machine after each use to prevent the spinning head from blocking. Keep the machine running and pour a small amount of water into the rotor; the rotor will slowly shake off the water. Then, turn off the machine and clean it with a dry soft cloth.
  2. Blocked Spinning Head: If the spinning head is blocked, turn off the machine, open the spinning head, and clean out any burnt sugar.
  3. Cleaning Agents: Do not wash the machine with detergents like washing powder.
  4. Direct Rinsing: Do not rinse the machine directly with water.

Troubleshooting (Fault: No Sugar Filament):

  1. Sugar Head Rotation & Heat Check: Check if the sugar head is rotating and if it is hot.
  2. No Rotation: If the sugar head does not rotate, check if the machine is powered on and if the motor is broken.
  3. Not Hot: If the sugar head is not hot, check if the machine is powered on, if the sugar head is "ringing" (indicating an issue), and if the voltage is excessive.
  4. Fuse Check: Unscrew the fuse knob on the panel or pry open the fuse cover (for Countertop Type) in the socket. Remove the fuse to check if it is burnt out.
  5. Carbon Brush Check: Remove the baffle and upper cover, then take out the cover through the spinning head to access the internal components. Check if the carbon brush is loose or not working; if so, replace it with a new one.
