Operator Positioning
! IMPORTANT: Swing Gates must not open into public access areas.
The gate must be installed in a location so that enough clearance is supplied between the
gate, while opening and closing, and adjacent structures to reduce the risk of entrapment.
GATE OPERATOR INSTALLATION
! TECHNICAL TIPS: Operator and Arm Geometry

Increasing “C” dimension provides better gate control and stability by reducing the
effects of inertia and deceasing the gate leverage agianst the operator.
•
Following to the geometrical formulas and relationships provided is recommended.
Arm Assembly: VA-F1ARM20 and VA-F1SWL20
VA-F1ARM (Standard) Typical installations. Gate travels level.
VA-F1SWL20 (Option) Gate travels on an incline, up to a 10° and a
maximum pull scale force of 70 lbs. to manually pull the gate up hill,
