Reader in “without configurator” mode
The “smart card” is an electronic key with 15 distinct mem-
ory addresses, in which it can store 15 different codes that
are randomly generated at the time of programming, out
of a total of 4.29 billion possible combinations. The 4 dip-
switches at the rear of the reader/programmer are used to
select the desired address. This allows the smart card to be
associated with 15 separate addresses (or access points)
Different readers can share the same address and the same
code: in this case, several access points can be enabled
using a single address.
The available types of cards are art. 16452.
Reader in “with configurator” operating mode
The “smart card” (figures 2.1a and 2.1b) can store up to
14 access codes in memory. MASTER smart cards are
used for the “Associating a relay” and “Activating the IrDA
port” operations; the remaining functions are controlled via
software.
