If the Visonic Software Remote Programmer doesn't identify the modem, first ensure the modem is turned ON and that the light on the front panel is illuminated. For external modems, check the power switch. Internal modems power on with the computer. Next, check that the cable connectors are securely fitted to their respective ports, including the line connector for internal modems and the line and RS-232 connectors for external modems. Finally, verify that you have the correct Com port and IRQ settings in your software and in the Windows Control Panel, ensuring there are no conflicts with other devices.
