2. GotothepanelandenteryourPINtostopthefirealarm.
3. ReviewtheAlarmMemory(inthesystemactivityhistory)todeterminewhichsensor
causedthealarm.
4. Gotothesensorandlookforapossiblereasonthesensorwastriggered.
5. Correcttheconditionthatcausedthedetectortosensesmoke.
Initiating a Fire Alarm Manually
Evacuatingalloccupantssafelyfromthehouseisalwaysthehighestpriorityintheeventofafire.If
youbecomeawareofafirebeforeyourdetectorssenseaproblem,dothefollowing:
1. Yell"FIRE!"toalerteveryoneelse.
2. Ifthepaneliseasilyaccessibleandthealarmhasnotactivated,gotothepanelandpress
thewhitelightedbutton,thenpressandholddowntheFirebuttononthetouchscreenfor
atleast2seconds.Thisactiontriggersthepanelfirealarm.
3. EvacuatealloccupantsfromthehouseandcallyourlocalFireDepartmentfromasafeloc-
ationoutsideyourhome.
Silencing a False Fire Alarm
Ifthefirealarmissoundingduetoadetectorsensingburntfoodorsomeothernon‐emergency
condition,dothefollowing:
1. SilencethefirealarmsirensbyenteringyourUserPINatthepanel.
2. ReviewtheAlarmMemorytodeterminewhichsensorcausedthealarm.Ifthealarm
restarts,theremaystillbesmokeinsidethedetector’ssensor.Re-enteryourUserPINto
stopthealarmfromcontinuingtosound.
3. Fanthedetectorfor30secondstoclearthedetector’ssensorchamber.
4. Aftertheproblemhasbeencorrected,gototheAlarmHistoryscreen,checkClear Alarm
History,andthenpressOK.(NOTE:YoucannotclearFireandCOsensorsthatarestill
violatedfromtheAlarmHistoryscreen,theycanonlybeclearedwhenthedetectorsreturn
tonormaloperation.)
5. Carefullyinspectyourhomeforfireorheatifyourfirealarmremainsinalarmstate.
