This document provides instructions for the White Pneumatic Arm Single Monitor Wall Mount, model SKU: MOUNT-V001GW, manufactured by VIVO. This device is designed to securely mount a single monitor to a wall, offering adjustable positioning for an ergonomic viewing experience.
Function Description:
The VIVO MOUNT-V001GW is a pneumatic arm wall mount for a single monitor. Its primary function is to provide a stable and adjustable platform for a computer monitor, allowing users to optimize their viewing angle and position. The pneumatic arm mechanism facilitates smooth and effortless adjustments, enabling the monitor to be moved up, down, forward, backward, tilted, swiveled, and rotated. This flexibility helps reduce strain on the neck, eyes, and back, promoting a more comfortable and productive workspace. The mount is designed for both wood wall and concrete/brick wall installations, offering versatility in mounting options.
Important Technical Specifications:
- SKU: MOUNT-V001GW
- Weight Capacity: 4.4-19.8 lbs (2-9 kg). It is crucial not to exceed this weight capacity to prevent damage or serious injury.
- VESA Compatibility: The mount supports VESA patterns, with screws M4x12 (M-A) and M5x12 (M-B) provided for attachment to the monitor.
- Included Hardware:
- Monitor Arm (A): x1
- Cover (B): x2
- 5mm Allen Wrench (C): x1
- M4x12 Screws (M-A): x4
- M5x12 Screws (M-B): x4
- D5 Washers (M-C): x4
- Screw (W-A): x2 (for wood wall installation)
- Anchor (W-B): x2 (for concrete/brick wall installation)
- Washer (W-C): x2 (for wall installation)
- Tools Needed for Installation: Drill and Phillips Screwdriver.
- Wall Compatibility: Designed for installation into wood beams (with 2.2" deep holes using a 3/16" bit) or concrete/brick walls (with 4" deep holes using a 3/8" bit). For concrete/brick walls, wood studs are recommended.
Usage Features:
- Installation Options:
- Option A: Wood Wall: Requires a pencil to mark drilling locations, a stud finder to locate a wood beam, and a drill with a 3/16" bit for 2.2" deep holes. The mount arm (A) is secured with screws (W-A) and washers (W-C). Anchors (W-B) are not used for wood beam installation.
- Option B: Concrete/Brick Wall: Requires a pencil to mark drilling locations and a drill with a 3/8" bit for 4" deep holes. The mount arm (A) is secured with screws (W-A), anchors (W-B), and washers (W-C). It is emphasized to verify wall construction and use wood studs if possible.
- Monitor Attachment: After mounting the arm to the wall, the monitor is attached using the provided M-A or M-B screws with M-C washers. It's important to leave approximately 3mm of space between the screw heads and the monitor, then tighten using the 5mm Allen wrench (C).
- Pneumatic Arm Tension Adjustment: The socket screw of the joint can be adjusted to increase or decrease tension. If the joint makes a popping sound, the tension is too loose. If the monitor cannot be lifted easily, the tension is too tight. Adjust the tension using the 5mm Allen wrench (C) by turning clockwise to reduce tension and counterclockwise to increase tension. Additionally, bolts on the sides of the hinge behind the VESA plate can be adjusted to tighten or loosen the tilt angle.
- Cable Management: The mount features integrated cable management. After attaching the monitor and adjusting the arm, remove the cable cover by unscrewing the screw underneath. Insert cables into the designated channels and replace the covers, ensuring enough slack for free movement of the arm.
- Adjustability:
- Rotation: The monitor can be rotated 360 degrees.
- Swivel: The arm allows for 180-degree swivel at the wall mount point and 360-degree swivel at the monitor attachment point.
- Tilt: The monitor can be tilted +90 degrees to -45 degrees.
- Height Adjustment: The pneumatic arm allows for vertical height adjustments.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Checks: Periodically check all hardware, including screws and anchors, to ensure they are secure. Loose parts may cause damage or injury.
- Cleaning: Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Tension Adjustment: As noted in the usage features, the pneumatic arm tension can be adjusted to maintain optimal monitor positioning and ease of movement. This is a key maintenance feature to ensure the mount functions correctly over time.
- Choking Hazard Warning: Small parts are included and are not for children under 3 years. Adult supervision is required during assembly and maintenance.
