      If the display image on your Vizio HDTV doesn't cover the entire screen or has black bars, go to the Wide menu in HDTV Settings to view available aspect modes. Check the video settings of your external device. If using the RGB input (Computer), ensure a supported PC desktop resolution is being used. Also, in the Picture menu, select Auto Adjust to fit the PC desktop to your HDTV. Note that some modes may not be available depending on the content resolution.

      If your Vizio HDTV has pixels (dots) that are always dark or colored, check the video/device cable integrity and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax etc.). Check other Inputs and external devices. Remove all external devices to see if the issue remains. Perform a power cycle by removing the AC power cable for 30 seconds and then reinserting it.

      Image noise or fuzz can occur on your Vizio HDTV when a digital broadcast signal is up-converted to match your TV’s display capabilities. If you're using an antenna, ensure it’s securely connected and reposition it. Check the video settings of your external device. Check the video/device cable integrity and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax, etc.). Try the device on another input. Perform a power cycle by unplugging the TV for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.

      If your Vizio HDTV has distorted or popping audio, check the video/device cable integrity and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax etc.). Make sure audio cables are tightly inserted into inputs. Try another device or use a different device input.

    Why is there no audio on my Vizio HDTV?

      If there is no audio on your Vizio HDTV, first, press the Volume + button on the remote or the side of the TV. Make sure MUTE is not enabled by pressing the MUTE button on the remote. For TV input, check the MTS Audio settings in the Tuner menu to ensure they are set to Stereo/English. Also, verify that your HDTV speakers are turned On in the Audio menu. Check the integrity of the video/device cable and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax, etc.). Finally, change the audio settings of the external device and if you are using an antenna, ensure it is securely connected and reposition it for better signal strength.
