Why does my Vizio HDTV have no power?
    • M
      Matthew HaleSep 2, 2025
If your Vizio HDTV has no power and the VIZIO logo is off, first ensure the AC power cable is securely connected to both the back of the TV and the wall outlet. Test the outlet by plugging in another electrical device. Try a different outlet, preferably on a different circuit. You can also try another standard 3-prong, grounded, UL-approved computer power cable.

Why is the image distorted on my Vizio HDTV?
    • S
      smithjenniferAug 31, 2025
If your Vizio HDTV shows a distorted image or has unusual sound, check the video/device cable integrity and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax etc.). Try the external device on another input. Perform a power cycle by removing the AC power cable for 30 seconds and then reinserting it. Also, consider that interference from electrical appliances, cars, motorcycles, or fluorescent lights may affect performance; if possible, relocate the HDTV.

If your Vizio HDTV has poor image quality, remember that Standard Definition images will always appear inferior to HD content; press INFO to check the current resolution. Check the video settings of your external device. If using an antenna, ensure it’s securely connected and reposition it for better signal strength. Reset Picture settings to default in the Picture Menu. Check the video/device cable and try another cable (HDMI, AV/Composite, Coax, etc.). Finally, perform a power cycle by unplugging the TV for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.
