Fitting a towing device can cause serious damage to

Improper handling of fuel can cause explosions,
fire, severe burns and other injuries.

Before refuelling, switch off the engine,
ignition and mobile phone and other radio
communication devices.

To avoid electrostatic discharge, do not climb
into the vehicle during refuelling.

Make sure that the fuel tank cap is properly
closed and that no fuel is leaking from the fuel
tank.

Observe the applicable safety instructions and
local regulations for the handling of fuels.

Refuel only with fuels that have been
authorised for the vehicle.

Do not refuel with metalliferous fuels and
use only additives approved by Volkswagen in
the authorised dosage.

out of the canister. This can cause fire and injury.
