Cleaning of seat upholstery
If an item of clothing, e.g. denim, colours the
upholstery of the seats, this is not a defect in the
upholstery, but is due to a lack of dye fastness of
the item of clothing.
Parts of the airbag system and electrical
connectors may be mounted in the seat
upholstery. If the seat upholstery is damaged,
improperly cleaned and treated or gets wet, this
could damage the vehicle's electrical system and
damage the airbag system → .
Depending on the equipment, electrical components
and connectors are fitted to the heated seats, which
could be damaged by improper cleaning or
treatment. Damage could also occur at other points
in the vehicle's electrical system.
