Safety Instructions
Any claims for guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage that
results from the non-observance of the operating manual. We do not accept

injuries caused by improper use or non-observance of safety instructions.
Guarantees will not be accepted in any such case.
- The measuring device has been constructed and tested according to the
standard EN 61010-1, Protective Measures for electronic Measuring
Instruments, and has left the factory in a perfectly safe condition.
- We kindly request the user to respect this operating manual in order to pre-
serve this condition and to ensure safe operation. Keep measuring devices
out of the reach of children!
- Observe the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade associ-
ation for electrical equipment and installations in industrial and commercial
facilities.
- Measuring devices and accessories used at schools, training facilities, do-
it-yourself and hobby workshops must be supervised by the responsible
qualified personnel.
- Be especially careful when handling voltages over 25 V AC or over 35 V
DC. Even with these voltages, you can suffer a dangerous electric shock
when you get in contact with electrical leads.
- Every time before you change the measuring range, the measuring pivots
must be removed from the measured object.
- Check the measuring instrument and the measuring leads for damages
before every use!
- Before every measurement the capacitors that are to be measured must be
completely discharged.
- Any measuring of live components, circuit elements etc. is prohibited. Dan-
ger to life! under contact with voltages over 25 V ACrms or 35 V DC.
- Do not operate the measuring instrument in rooms or under adverse envi-
ronmental conditions, where there are or could be inflammable gases,
vapours or dust.
